When sound programmers create sample-based "patches", they normally utilize the 'extra features' of the playback engine (filters, Amps, whatever). What is the akai programming and how will changing the formats to wave give you lesser flexibility. aif (both of which the Triton can read), but this would be "suboptimal" since you would lose the AKAI programming. You should be able to use CDXtract to convert the AKAI samples to. When you say you are using a demo version of CDXtract, tol what format are you trying to convert? I was not aware that CDXtract supported conversion directly to the Triton format.

The Triton can load/read AKAI S1000/S3000 AKAI Programs and AKAI samples. I also believe that loops can help us to save time, but one day, this could sound the same, day after day, year after year. Otherwise, in acoustic samples, I love to work on drum sequencing. Grooves like those found on Hip-Hop Colection (SR-JV80-12) and House Colection (SR-JV80-19), are for me, very usable. I just like to use grooves when the subject is dance styles. The "Burning Grooves", for example, according to Spectrasonics description, in audio version, the drum hits is not included, what for me, it's not a great feature. I also wait for the Roland's promise, since most of the interesting libraries from "Spectrasonics", for example, don't offer in audio version, the same content as well as found in data CD version. I guess that, for who would like to experience the sample set creation, it should be a great tool. Hope this is a contribution for Fantom-s users, and for who owns libraries in these formats and wouldn't like to waist money on buying other versions just for compatibility reasons.
I believe that this program could be a great tool for owners of libraries compatible with the formats mentioned above. I don't know about the expiration date of this program, but you can see about purchasing coasts and other details visiting the link that will be given. Guys, I'm using the 4.0 demo version of this application, and I'm getting great results. Eaven MP3 is included, but this is not a great feature, once the Fantom-S doesn't give support for MP3 files.
